Investment & Enterprise Manager job at Conseil de Wakefield

An exciting opportunity has presented itself to Wakefield Council to appoint a corporate director. The position will work within the Economic Growth and Skills Department, reporting directly to the Head of Skills and Business Department. The incumbent will play a critical role in leading a comprehensive business support strategy for existing and new businesses in the Wakefield area.

The role will involve strategic leadership of multi-million pound, externally funded business, skills and business support projects. Local businesses face significant challenges brought on by economic uncertainty, this role will be crucial in supporting employers and the workforce in the years to come. You will join a proactive and dynamic team and influence the development of internal strategies and provide technical support on projects related to skills development and economic growth.
